Keg Quick Start and Care Guide
Quick start
Step 1: Sanitize & Fill
- Rinse all stainless steel parts with warm water.
- Fill the keg with your chilled beverage (Cold Brew, Stout, or Water + Electrolytes) up to approximately 70-75% full
- Pro-Tip: For the best cascade, ensure your liquid is as cold as possible before infusing.
Step 2: Assemble the Spear
- Insert the silicone hose into the bottom of the infusion spear.
- Screw the spear onto the keg until hand-tight (do not over-tighten).
- Attach the faucet to the front of the spear and the handle to the top.
Step 3: Charge & Infuse
- Insert a 2g Pure N_2 (Nitrogen) non-threaded capsule into the holder.
- Twist the holder onto the spear until you hear a brief "hiss"—this means the gas is released.
- The Secret Shake: Shake the keg vigorously for 30–60 seconds. This allows the nitrogen to bond at a molecular level.
Step 4: The Cascade Pour
- Tilt your glass at a 45-degree angle.
- Pull the tap handle fully forward. Watch the "reverse cascade" settle into a creamy, velvety head.
Care & Maintenance
After Every Use:
- Discard the empty gas capsule.
- Flush the tap system by filling the keg with warm water and "pouring" it through the faucet until it runs clear.
- This is especially important for Cold Brew and Stout to prevent residue buildup.
Deep Clean:
- Hand-wash only. Use mild dish soap and a bottle brush for the interior.
- Inspect the O-rings (seals) periodically to ensure they remain clean and supple.
Gas Compatibility Notice
⚠️ CRITICAL: This system is engineered exclusively for 2g Pure Nitrogen (N_2).
- DO NOT USE N_2O: Results in a metallic, chemical taste.
- DO NOT USE CO_2: Creates harsh acidity and high pressure that can damage the "Micro-bubble" system.
